Field Day

Field Day is always the fourth full weekend in June. Field Day 2015 will be the weekend of June 27-28.

“ARRL Field Day is not a fully adjudicated contest, which explains much of its popularity. It is a time where many aspects of Amateur Radio come together to highlight our many roles. While some will treat it as a contest, most groups use the opportunity to practice their emergency response capabilities. It is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate Amateur Radio to local elected community leaders, key individuals with the organizations that Amateur Radio might serve in an emergency, as well as the general public. For many clubs, ARRL Field Day is one of the highlights of their annual calendar.”

The 2015 MARA Field Day festivities will be held at the Madison Square Sportsman’s Club, located at 5321 7 Mile Rd (corner of 7 Mile and Blakely Dr).

This year we will have sign up sheets for various aspects of the event.
If you would like to sign up to operate, bring equipment, help set up/tear down, or bring food, please get in touch with us.

Below are signup sheets you can view to get a better idea of what we will need to make Field Day successful. Please note: we will not be able to access the Madison Square Sportsman’s Club on Friday afternoon/evening, so setup will take place on Saturday June 27, in the morning.
