Our Repeaters

The present day W8USA 2 Meter repeater resides near 10 Mile & PeachTree North of Grand Rapids.. At the heart of the setup is a Yaesu DR-2X repeater. The output frequency is 145.230MHz with an input of 144.630MHz and a PL Tone of 94.8Hz.

Please note this repeater operates as a fusion (C4FM) repeater with automatic switching to analog FM by signal detection. (AMS)  It will be switched to Analog only for our Thursday evening net.

In September 2018, the membership voted on and approved the Upgrade DR-2X of the DR-1X repeater. It was installed on December 27, 2018.

The DR-1X has been traded in for a new DR-2X repeater for our new 444.450 AMS Repeater. 94.8 PL.

MARA has been previously recognized by the Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network, for their use of the W8USA repeater during emergency situations.

A New 440 Repeater is now active.  It is located in NE Grand Rapids and has an Output of 444.450 with a standard input of 449.450.  This repeater will use a tone of 94.8 and is currently operating in AMS (Fusion/Analog) Mode. Its’ range is intended for  the City of Grand Rapids.
